Production Technician

Description

• AflaLivre Moçambique SA is a Mozambican producer and distributor of Aflasafe granular biopesticide and is set to process peanuts for internal consumption and exports. Our vision is to reduce aflatoxin levels in Mozambique, improve human and animal welfare, and increase the presence of high-quality Mozambican peanuts in international markets. We are seeking an experienced Production Technician for our biopesticide and peanut processing plant, who can ensure efficient plant operations and product quality, contributing to the company’s operational efficiency and excellence

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the production process of Aflasafe and peanut processing free from aflatoxins, ensuring compliance with established standards
• Assist in the preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment, developing and implementing maintenance plans and monitoring associated costs
• Ensure strict adherence to operational procedures, health and safety standards, and practices for preventing foodborne illnesses
• Manage the flow of raw materials and finished products, keeping the Production Supervisor informed about stock levels and replenishment needs
• Monitor the quality of finished products, packaging, expiration dates, and cleanliness of production areas, performing regular checks and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Conduct quality checks (checklist) of finished product batches before distribution, including expiration dates, bag seam quality, and weight sampling per batch
• Process and code equipment, maintaining detailed records of malfunctions, repairs, replacements, and associated costs
• Monitor and evaluate compliance with operational procedures and quality standards in the production of Aflasafe and aflatoxin-free peanut processing, implementing continuous improvements
• Analyze weekly and monthly production performance and report results to the Production Supervisor, highlighting aspects such as production quantity, involved costs, labor, and main challenges

Requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Processing, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production, preferably in industrial food processing or biopesticide environments
• Experience in the maintenance and operation of production equipment
• Knowledge of aflatoxin control processes and peanut processing is an advantage
• Proficiency in computer applications and production management tools
• Experience with procurement and inventory control
• Letter of interest (in Portuguese and English)
