Programme Assistant

World Food Programme is recruiting a Programme Assistant (mVAM) - SSA 6, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Make weekly calls to traders to collect food price and market information
• Clean the data using the guidelines provided
• Analyse the data and produce monthly bulletins
• Report regularly to the VAM Officer on any challenges for follow up
• Support broader WFP efforts of food price monitoring
• Perform other related duties as required

Requisites

• The candidate should be computer literate, have a good understanding of statistics and economics, be familiar with food security analysis and mobile technologies, fluent in local languages, and highly organized
• Completion of Secondary School
