Embaixada da Suécia is recruiting a Programme Officer for Environment and Climate Change, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

• The Embassy of Sweden has a long and close relationship with Mozambique and works with development cooperation, political dialogue and trade promotion. The 6-year strategy for Sweden’s development cooperation with Mozambique focuses on environment & climate change, democracy & human rights and inclusive growth. With an increased focus on environment and climate change the Embassy is now recruiting an additional National Programme Officer. The Programme Officer should contribute to portfolio development, manage programmes and policy dialogue in the area of environment and climate change, as well as provide support to the Programme Officer on renewable energy

Requisites

• Master degree in an area relevant for the position
• At least 3-5 years’ experience working with environment and climate change
• Experience in development cooperation and project management including financial management
• Good knowledge on Monitoring & Evaluation
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in English and Portuguese and verbal communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel on field missions
• Ability to work as part of a team, have strong problem-solving skills, results-orientation, and work well under pressure
• Personal letter and CV in English
• Mozambican nationality
