The purpose of this position is to perform Project Control activities, under general supervision.
Duties
- Applies the principles of Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures to cost data to ensure that the data is correctly and consistently entered into the Project Controls System if established on site
- Interprets procedures for a project cost program if installed on the project
- Participates in the Commercial Alignment Process and prepares the Checklist for the Project Business Plan
- Collects data, inputs updates and produces basic cost management reports. Requires efficiency and accuracy in generating and gathering data. Maintains orderly records to ensure the integrity of the system
- Provides general supervision of the work of lower-level Project Controls Technicians and Clerks if assigned
- Takes responsibility for self-checking the accuracy of his / her work and that of subordinates, if applicable
- Provides and collects historical information
- Maintain Equipment Plan and Forecast report for site rentals
- Establish Cost report for Project
- Analyze cost of equipment maintenance and compare to revenues for that maintenance
- Analyze Revenues, Cost and EBIT for the Project
- Overview and Review Project Invoices to Client
- Reconcile Project Invoices to Stated Revenues for the Project
- Oversee Project Timesheet reporting
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Requisites
- Prefer a four-year Bachelor’s Technical Degree or Nontechnical Bachelor’s Degree with Business and Computer Software courses, plus one to two years of relevant Construction or Project Controls experience, or five years of relevant Construction or Project Controls experience
- Additional financial/accounting experience is helpful
- Persons who do not possess a college degree may substitute a relevant certificate or diploma for the number of years of experience
- Bilingual English and Spanish minimum
- Portuguese preferred
- Understands the cost / accounting basic terminology of the cost / accounting field, its principles, practices and concepts, as well as contract commercial provisions and interpretations
- Possesses strong personal computer skills and proficiency in the use of automated scheduling / cost management systems
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located and be able to interview on site
