CISM is recruiting a Project Manager, to be based in Manhiça, Mozambique.
Duties
- Manage project’s processes, equipment and consumables (in strict collaboration with the logistic department)
- Prepare consumable and equipment needs plan for current and new studie
- Order and warranty the timely availability of project equipment and consumables
- Ensure the delivery and transportation of materials to the field site
- Manage stocks
- Oversee and ensure correct development of project’s processes
- Track monthly performance indicators
- Ensure achievement of project outputs
- Create and manage the agenda of activities and events and ensure follow-up of key actions
- Ensure project’s compliance with CISM’s internal rules
- Manage project’s human resources
- Manage the hiring process of new team members
- Prepare integration plans and welcome packages for new team members according to their position
- Prepare training agendas and training contents for new team members
- Prepare and revise monthly work plans
- Track extra hours and absenteeism
- Coordinate quality assurance and reporting
- Maintain and update physical and electronic project files (including study results, project management documents, protocols, etc.)
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control mechanism and document safeguards
- Design and maintain protocols approval tracking system
- Ensure that all standard operation procedures are approved and appropriately stored
- Write quarterly reports to national authorities and partners
- Preparation and coordination of field visits of project partners/monitors
- Perform other tasks requested by his/her immediate supervisor
Requisites
- University qualification in project management or equivalent
- Proven project management capabilities
- Proven ability to manage consultants and subcontractors
- Experience managing large health research programs preferably in public health
- Proven ability to manage donor-funded development projects, particularly with US Federal Funds
- Proven ability to manage donor relations, particularly with US Federal Funds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates good judgment, expert problem solving, and creativity
- Computer literacy with good Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and Power Point skills
- Demonstrated success in building and managing multi-disciplinary teams in challenging program environments
- Experience of delivering donor-funded programs highly desirable
- Experience in a global, multicultural organization is highly desirable
- Fluent written and verbal English and Portuguese
- High level of professionalism and integrity
