Aldelia is recruiting a Public Relations Manager (m/f), to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Duties
- Develop and maintain a communications strategy for the company
- Develop and maintain a dynamic stakeholders register
- Project positive company image in local media (TV, newspapers, and radio) — with success stories about community projects, about workers, championing the company
- Monitor and analyze media coverage in local and international news including social media platforms for company news and analyze impact, share, and develop and launch responses and/or counter information where necessary
- Manage company social media pages with info on community projects, visits to the mine, about workers, championing the company
- Run Internal news — a newsletter/bulletin to employees with company news and information for the week, month or quarter
- Plan and implement publicity strategies, campaigns, and social media calendars
- Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to PR
- Manage content team to produce relevant, compelling social media updates with links to relevant events
- Develop and produce high-quality, informative, and interesting press releases, press kits, and related materials in consultation with the Group Head of PR and Country Head of Corporate Affairs
- Maintain good relationships with the media
- Serve as the public face of the company in interviews and press conferences
- Organize promotional events, press conferences, tours, visits, and exhibitions
- Create presentations, articles, reports, and information for web sites, blogs, and social media accounts
- Create and manage PR budgets, deadlines, objectives, and schedules
- Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual media activity reports
- Arrange conferences and all requirements included for visitors
- Keep annual calendars of events, targets, and activities organized
- Develop or commission market research as needed
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, communication and any other relevant area
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PR, marketing, and media relations
- Experience in liaising, managing, influencing, and negotiating with media agents, government authorities, community stakeholders and public; Expertise in social media and publicity
- Portuguese/English speaking with excellent communications skills (both written and verbally)
