QA/QC Mechanical Engineer

Twigg Exploration & Mining, LDA is recruiting a QA/QC Mechanical Engineer, to be based in Balama, Mozambique.

Duties

• Manage the quality function in the project
• Interact with the construction team
• Interact with project engineer and project manager
• Draw the quality procedure
• Audit the activities of quality control and certification in the project
• Conduct periodic inspections of service providers and contractors
• Review, evaluate to approve the documents of the site providers like control of piping quality, Welding, Non-destructive checking, etc
• Follow-up of the report of non conformities, reported problems and concessions
• Review the data collected and deliver to the client
• Prepare regular quality report on the progress of the project status (when requested)
• The aforementioned position will report to the construction manager and the supervisor of mechanical structure and piping, and will have the autonomy of taking corrective actions to solve the quality problem on the site

Requisites

• Graduated in mechanical engineering
• With experience in quality control and certification
• With a minimum of 2 years experience in mining
• Fluent in English
• Computer skills and administration
• Candidates must be available immediately
