Quality Assurance Officer (Relocation and Livelihood)

CONTACT is recruiting a Quality Assurance Officer (Relocation and Livelihood), to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Reporting to the Social Performance Vice President, the main activities of the function are to oversee the implementation of relocation, compensation, and livelihood programs
  • Report the implementation of the livelihoods programs against implementation plans, targets, timelines, and result indicators
  • Perform systematic quality control/ assurance of relocation, compensation, and livelihood programs
  • Support the implementation of livelihood programs by providing critically assessed data to implementation teams
  • Assesses project performance to identify success factors and incorporates best practices into project work; monitors specific stages of projects/program implementation and establishes the research/evidence-based linkages/integration across programs
  • Provide backstopping on field activities implemented by local project partners
  • Ensure alignment of programmatic policy, processes, and procedures; record, monitor, and report the process of institutional memory
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, Economy or Socio-Economic Development, Business Administration, or another related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in implementing and monitoring RAP (Relocation and Livelihoods programs)
  • Effective communication in Portuguese and English
  • Mozambique Northern Languages proficiency will be an advantage
  • Familiarity with global industry best practices for environmental and social performance, requirements, and guidelines
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with communities and stakeholders
