Quality Control Coordinator – QCC

N&K Consultants is recruiting a Quality Control Coordinator - QCC, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Developing architecture designs or reviewing and interpretations
• Reviewing, standardizing and maintaining the Quality Control (QC) Plan and existing Manual
• Following up QC Procedures implementation of project works
• Check materials and request recommended items to assure quality
• Communicating to respective team the QA System and monitor the implementation
• Identifying non conformances and take preventive and corrective actions or measures
• Leading non-conformance investigation with the relevant departments or lawLiaising with partners for the coordination of works and conflict resolutions if any
• Testifying the works with respective contract works (bill of quantities)
• Assisting as necessary the Engineering department in the evaluation and correction of specific quality control problems and issues
• Performing QC Checks, audits and reviews
• Managing the continuous Quality training, assessment and human factors of the staff
• Maintaining the Quality file system
• Performing all other duties, tasks and initiatives contributing to the success of the projects

Requisites

• Possess University degree in Civil Engineering with minimum experience of 3 years in related work position or must possess a High Technical College Certification (Technical Institute) with orientation to civil construction or hydraulic works and minimum of 5 Years of experience
• Operate design software (Auto Card and similar)
• Be able to establish and maintain outstanding interpersonal relationship skills
• Utilize conflict management and negotiation skills
• Exercise good organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills with clarity
• Demonstrate sound verbal and writing skills on reporting using Portuguese and English
• Applies knowledge to general rules to specific problems to exercise critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Possess a driving license, passport, relevant IDs
• Be able to travel national and internationally
• Be adjustable to mobility as for the company needs
