CNFA assists smallholders in increasing household-level food security and nutrition through improved agricultural practices, introduction of new varieties, diversification of crop production, food preservation and storage, development of farmer-based organizations, and strengthened linkages to markets. CNFA has a successful track record of implementing agricultural development programs in 47 countries
Position Summary
  • CNFA is seeking a Recruiter that will support the organizations business development team with full life-cycle recruitment on the upcoming USAID-funded Mozambique Market Systems Activity proposal. This position is a local hire The Recruiter will be providing timely and effective recruitment solutions to support this proposal opporunity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a fast-paced team supporting pre-solicitation and ‘live’ proposal recruitment under tight deadlines The candidate should have a knowledge of the USAID and/or USDA recruitment methods of information collecting and competitive recruitment processes
Duties
  • Develop and utilize professional networks, current knowledge of international development and recruiting best practices to create and implement a sourcing strategy for proposal positions to meet staffing needs and build a pipeline for future roles
  • Prepare daily briefings with proposal teams on shortlists with relevant documents and arrange for interviews of selected prospective candidates
  • Maintain postings in Applicant Tracking System, organization website and other posting sites to keep job postings up to date, closing filled positions, tracking applications, registering new candidates, and uploading relevant documentation
  • Screen candidates, conduct interviews, check references, conduct salary negotiations, and prepare contingent offer letters in coordination with the Sr. International Recruiter
  • Participate in proposal team meetings, updating and informing team on proposal requirements efforts, and stay in tune with compliance trends in the industry
  • Support business development team with resume write-ups of candidates and other personnel sections of proposals Other recruitment-specific duties as required
 
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least three (3) years of experience in international development proposal preparation and/or recruitment on USAID, USDA, or other USG donors is required
  • Familiarity with USAID specific proposals and key-personnel requirements is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in creating a recruitment pipeline of experts
  • Proven track recording in working to source and recruit international positions under tight deadlines and requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet urgent deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for a collaborative team environment
  • Ability and willingness to meet and exceed goals in all activities
  • Excellent oral and writing communication skills in English and Portuguese is required
