Description
- As the Regional Agribusiness Manager, you will leverage your network and established relationships within the agricultural industry to develop new relationships and agricultural customers across Northern Mozambique, and beyond. You create and execute the commercial plan and modus operandi to deliver the planned commercial activities for the responsible geography. You will travel up to 60% of your time – a flexible schedule is required. The candidate is ideally located in Nampula
Duties
- Create and execute the commercial plan and modus operandi to deliver the planned commercial activities for the responsible geography
- Drive demand generation with focus on liquidation in the assigned area through field promotional activities such as pre-sowing campaigns, Farmer Training Programs, Field days and Field trips in key villages of the assigned area
- Plan, track and manage team of Market Development Officers and their activities. Ensure that right people are available to deliver the business aspiration. Have a fully motivated, engaged and energized Field Staff
- Actively manage relationships with Distributors and Retailers
- Focus on accurate and timely planning, placement, liquidation and collections
- Regularly report sales and other commercial activities using Salesforce.com and other digital platforms
- Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers in the territory
- Support a strong channel engagement and campaign plan along with executing the Go-To-Market Strategy for effective business success
Requisites
- 10 years in commercial or marketing in the agricultural sector. Understanding of the competitive environment of the agricultural sector
- Management of large agricultural accounts and Customer Relation Management
- Agri Graduate/Post Graduate
- Agri or general MBA preferred
- Team player, communication skills, customer handling skills
- Strong financial acumen
- Customer service attitude
- Strategic mindset to develop channel growth plan
- Knowledge of local language/Products/Market
