Regional Lubricants Sales Manager

Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Regional Lubricants Sales Manager, to be based in Maputo.

Duties
  • To fully manage business interests in Mozambique and accountable to deliver on the agreed bottom line
  • To identify, monitor and secure new Lubricants business opportunities in Mozambique, achieving and maintaining a substantial market share and pre-determined profitability within the targeted Lubricants sector(s)
  • Assist in maintaining current business and incremental growth
  • Whilst the role’s key focus is on B2B Lubes development, yet the incumbent will also drive business development activities in association with the Distributor’s local sales team
  • To compile monthly reports on business potentials across Mozambique and monthly business development activities
  • To report back to management on progress on a regular basis, ensuring that the deals are monitored and secured timely
  • To establish close relationship with major Lubricants customers including Distributors and resellers in Mozambique
  • Manage the operations, supply chain and financials for Mozambique
  • Working with the local Distributor in overseeing current sales and operations staff, ensuring compliance with HSSE and supporting team to build the business and grow sales
  • Principle Accountabilities
  • Accountable for the assigned P&L targets
  • To develop an annual business development plan based on market dynamics; to get the plan reviewed and approved by the BDM Southern Africa and implement it to meet the targets
  • Develop sales volumes and meeting sales/financial targets and other KPIs as agreed with the BDM Southern Africa
  • Conduct prospecting, and where required in association with local Distributor’s sales team, in order to identify new business opportunities and secure these opportunities using the clients CVP’s.
  • Develop our key Distributor and key Resellers through Distributor Toolkit
  • Review portfolio and pricing with BDM Southern Africa, Develop Merchandising & Trade consumer promotion
  • Drive successful Lubricants negotiations until contract signing and payment in compliance with customers rules
  • Implement agreed strategies that result in a significant increase of our market share and business revenue in the targeted sectors
  • Monitor sales, operations, marketing and financial activities and report to the BDM Southern Africa monthly
  • Drive special projects aimed at improving overall country performances
  • Lead the S&OP process for Mozambique and ensure product availability at all times
  • Is responsible for the effective Supply Chain Management of products to Mozambique
  • Establish close relationship with counterparts at Lubricants customers (including Distributors) and leverage it to expand customers’s footprint in the market
  • Ensuring that customer will be able to offer deals to targeted customers/Distributors and following up on these deals to ensure full delivery
  • Assisting with DCF’s; PCN’s; IP’s and offer development and get them reviewed and supported by the BDM Southern Africa prior to submission
  • Ensure that the group standards, policies, processes and guidelines are implemented and respected in the assigned markets
  • Ensure compliance with the Group’s HSSE standards, policies and processes and ensure that they are respected in all of the company’s business and operations in Mozambique
  • Act as custodian of the corporate image and reputation of the company in Mozambique

Requisites
  • Track record of successful Sales or marketing experience
  • Good exposure to Lubricants, Supply Chain and HSSE
  • Proven capability to translate financial analysis into strategic recommendations
  • High customer focus and business skills, self starter and results driven
  • Proven experience in business development and development of strategy
  • Very good presentation skills
  • Sound understanding of strategy, business and project evaluation tools
  • Proven project management skills and leadership of project teams
  • Very good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Good front-line ability
  • Good people and management skills
