Heading is recruiting for an NGO a Reporting and Project Specialist, to be based in Nampula, Mozambique.
Duties
- The Primary purpose of this position is to provide technical and management support to the CoP, including monitoring and evaluation, project reporting and knowledge management
- The Reporting & Project Specialist will have a matrix management responsibility over the Agriculture Coordinators and the School Procurement Capacity Building Officers
- The Reporting & Project Specialist will ensure the activities under the responsibility of the Agriculture Coordinators and the School Procurement Capacity Building Officers are being completed in a quality and timely manner
- Ability to travel to the field up to 50% of the time
- Willingness to work outside the normal working hours from time to time, due to the need to connect with people in different time zones
- Ability to work in a virtual team while ensuring attainment of personal and team objectives
Requisites
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field (e.g. M&E, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Management or a related fiel); Master´s degree in a relevant field will be considered a strong advantage
- Working knowledge/experience on the technical and social components of WASH, Health, Nutrition, Education, Economic Development and/or Child Protection
- At least 5 years of experience with relief and development programmes at a similar level
- Experience in project planning, project design, project management and reporting to major donors
- Experience with data capture and basic data analysis. Experience of statistical analysis programs such as SPSS or Epi-Info preferred
- Strong technical skills and experience, including experience with baseline surveys, analytical evaluations of development projects, experience in designing questionnaires, conducting surveys, and analyzing data
- Familiarity and experience with the M&E requirements of government donors will be an added advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English
- Ability to prepare and edit high quality reports for major donors
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications; knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, is an advantage
- Thorough working knowledge of programme/project cycle management
- Thorough knowledge of Project Management standards and tools
