MultiChoice is recruiting a Retail Manager, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Manages and coordinates the Retail Accounts sales segment to meet company’s business requirements
- Required to carry out Line Managers’ responsibilities as per disciplinary code and procedure of instituting disciplinary action. (To state case and facts, arguments proving contravention of charge among other responsibilities)
- Expected to manage the operations of your team including Staff Productivity, Performance Management and Leave Management
- Custodian of application of company policies (execution of what is required as per group policies
- Cost management: You will be responsible for managing the overtime and budget costs for your unit
Sales Accountabilities
- Develop and execute Retail sales strategy aimed at increasing the market share and overall profitability of the organization, in line with the business strategic and tactical objectives
- Collaborate with marketing teams to define the overall Retail sales strategy and promotional initiatives
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Retail accounts
- Work with Stores to plan and manage a promotional calendar
- Manage product display in-store to ensure Pervasive presence of all products
- Ensure all relevant internal and external stakeholders receive all pertinent communications
- Develop and oversee the budget and expenses of the Retail Accounts Executives
- Facilitate in developing a pricing strategy to maximize variable margin through product/ pack mix decisions
- Develop and coach Retail Accounts Executives to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth
- Work with the HR team to develop a training schedule
- Monitor, analyze sales and market trends in the retail space
- Compile forecasts of stock distribution based on customer demands
- Proactively analyze customer needs and make appropriate recommendations for improving the overall sales approach
- Set overall targets for each account as well as specific targets for individual outlets
- Prepare a monthly Sales Report showing the sales performance of each account against Targets
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or other related field
- 3-7 years’ Sales experience in a Retail environment.
- Is also required to have the following functional competencies:
- In-Depth Sales Management Skills
- To develop and implement an extensive sales plan based on the sales Strategy.
- To identify opportunities and potential limitations within the market and allocate resources accordingly
