Security Program Guard

US Embassy is recruiting a Security Program Guard, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Incumbent provides security for U.S. Government facilities, employees and family members by performing procedures to detect, recognize and report on surveillance directed against U.S. Government facilities and/ or personnel and provides support directly, or by calling for assistance
• In case of an imminent attack, calls for immediate assistance and takes action to prevent injury and death to personnel, and destruction of property

Requisites

• Completion of secondary school(12th grade)is required
• Minimum of one year of Surveillance Detection or security experience (i.e. Military, police, or private security) in a position which involved observation/ surveillance skills and techniques is required
• Level II English (fluency in both written and verbal) is required. Will be tested
• Level III Portuguese (fluency in both written and verbal) is required. Will be tested
• Possession of local driver’s license is required
• Submit DS-174 form with all supporting proof of degree, certification, and employment documents electronically
