Security and Investigations Manager (m/f)

Description

• Aldelia is a British recruitment company with strong operations in Mozambique. We are looking for a professional for one of our Banking Sector clients
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of efficient and effective security systems within the bank. Prompt in depth investigation of all criminal cases unearthed within the bank with a view to always minimize prejudice to the bank and maximizing recovery of lost assets
• Initiating remedial measures against such incidents occurring in future. Security work is a 24-hour job and is very demanding. As such the incumbent security and investigations manager should always be available for problem solving and other adhoc roles whether on or off duty

Duties

• Delegates and supervises the day to day operational security deployments within the bank to ensure the business functions without hindrance
• Ensure a safe environment at the bank through observance of internal controls in order to curb any incidence of crime within the bank’s establishments
• In liaison with private security company, arranges effective and secure armed cash in transit for all the bank’s cash movements to avoid instances of robbery
• Conduct security audits and security surveys with a view to improve target hardening and curbing frauds, thefts or robberies occurring within the bank
• Conduct investigations in a professional and technical manner and in a style that promotes the integrity of the bank employees and its clients
• Wherever possible, take expedient and appropriate action where internal controls are violated in order to minimize financial prejudice to the bank
• Vet all new staff joining the bank in order to avoid employing criminals
• Vet all new clients to avoid criminals accessing the bank and its products

Requisites

• Certificate in security management
• Sand investigations manager should be highly analytical
• Have extensive crime investigation experience with the national police service
• Must be an official of high integrity
• Should be very skilled in professional security role
• Should be proficient in the use of firearms
• Prompt action in case of emergencies
