Senior Communications Advisor (m/f)

Duties

• Understand the broad political, social and media environment to identify communications opportunities as well as reputational risks and advise Project leadership accordingly
• Drafting speeches, articles, newsletters and web copy and other communications material
• Develop and implement issue-specific communications plans as required
• Test and refine the Project’s key messages as appropriate
• Lead a review of the Project website to ensure it is accessible and usable and that content is consistent with the Project’s communications objectives and narrative
• Following the website review, take responsibility for regular review and updating of web content
• Helping to develop, edit and design organizational communications documents and material
• Represent the Project at external events as required

Requisites

• University-level degree in communications, journalism or other relevant field
• Minimum ten years relevant professional experience
• Experience in the energy and resources sector preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English required (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently to carry out tasks to a high professional standard
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
