Eazi Access Rental is recruiting a Senior Financial Manager (m/f), to be based in Matola, Mozambique.
Description
- To fulfill the Financial Accounting Role for Eazi Equip Africa (Mozambique) by managing the Finance Department and indirectly manage all financial functions in the company

Duties
Weekly/Monthly/Annual Financial Reports
- Monitors and directs all company financial accounting operations
- Monitor and review financial performance through daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting
- Prepare Monthly Forecasts and Annual Budgets/Forecasts
- Monitor variances of expenses against monthly and annual budgets
- Prepare, Review and distribute monthly management accounts
- Prepare all necessary annual audit requirements and resolution of any audit queries
- Adhere to strict monthly deadlines
- Prepare and submit all ROI calculations for new projects and proposals
Banking & Payroll
- Perform Weekly/Monthly Payroll Authorization
- Perform Weekly Expense Claims Authorization
- Review weekly cash flow forecasts
- Review and authorize all petty cash payments and reimbursements
Debtors & Billing
- Ensure that billing is complete accurate and timeous
- Authorize all credit notes
- Perform monthly rental billing and ticker reconciliation
- Perform monthly operator billing reconciliation
- Review all debtors’ collections
- Follow up on all overdue amounts and where necessary advise credit control on further collection actions required
- Calculate Bad Debt Provision for each branch
- Provide management with necessary debtors’ reports
- Ledger: Review all expenses accounts and prepare any required journals necessary to correct allocations or expenses
- Prepare details of any provisions or accruals required
Asset management
- Confirm all fleet assets are correctly allocated to the correct branches
- Advise on any asset transfers required
- Fixed asset register accurately reflects all assets within a branch
- Scrap/Dispose of assets as required with the necessary authorization
- Report on asset utilization, asset allocation and reporting
Statutory & Compliance
- Ensuring compliance to all relevant laws and regulations
- Follow up on refunds due
- Ensure Tax Clearance status is always compliant
- Preparation, Review & Authorization of Income taxes submissions and reconciliations
- Preparation, Review & Authorization of Provisional taxes submissions and reconciliations
Staff management
- Manage, Develop, and Motivate Finance staff
- Train, Supervise and direct the activities of subordinates to meet or exceed stated goals
- Set and maintain monthly deadlines
- Financial disciplines and other
- Assist in adherence to, design, implement and enforcement all company financial policies (setting/development and maintaining financial controls), procedures, rules and regulations
- Performs other ad hoc duties as requested by management
- Application of logical thinking to a wide range of problems, gathering of data, analysis and drafting of project plans
- Offering constructive opinions concerning day to day activities
- Ensure compliance with all system requirements
General
- To ensure that a professional image is always projected
- To promote Eazi Equip Africa (Mozambique) and do everything possible to enhance its image
- To ensure that all duties are carried out safely and in accordance with all company and legal requirements
- To ensure that confidentiality in all Eazi Equip Africa (Mozambique) matter is maintained
- Compliance to standard operation guidelines of Eazi Equip Africa (Mozambique)
Requisites
- Minimum: Bilingual English and Portuguese essential
- Accounting/Financial Management
- Completed Articles
- 2-3 years Post Article working experience
- 2-3 Years Supervisory/Management experience would be advantageous
- Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Experience would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Mozambican laws and regulations is required
- Knowledge: Financial Management, Accounting and Financial Accounting
- Computer literacy in Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
- Generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
- Relevant legislation and regulatory requirements Financial management
- Microsoft AX Dynamics
- ERP implementation experience
- Ability to speak Portuguese fluently
- Requires extensive travel, mainly within Mozambique
