Senior Proposal Writer

ADPP is recruiting a Senior Proposal Writer, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Write concept papers and proposal for potential donors in close collaboration with executive management and rest of the National Partnership Team
• Write major proposals, ensuring compliance with submission guidelines and deadline
• Proposal Writing from elaborating short and concise concept papers to elaborating major proposals including logic framework, causal framework, key indicators, M&E plan, budgets, etc
• Be responsible for the entire proposal process, including research and investigation, participating in meetings with partners during the span of developing and writing of the proposal, including the final editing, printing, binding and shipping
• Be responsible for planning the production of the proposals with time line including all details to secure a high quality product delivered in due time
• Do research and identify new funding sources
• Coordinate and plan the proposal writers work with the leadership of the office

Requisites

• Has a track record of being the writer of previous successful proposals between 1-15 million USD
• Excellent communication skills in English at a high level, as most proposals are in English
• Professional writing skills in English and in Portuguese is of advantage
• Excellent analytic skills and logical sense
• Extensive experience in writing proposals for national and international organizations like UN, USAID, USDA, EU, Global Fund etc
• Has a minimum of 5 years proven record in successful proposal writing and fundraising work
• Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet search tools
• Ability to use basic layout/graphics software
• Ability to handle many tasks at the same time for a number of proposals in production at the same time –and always to meet the required deadlines
• Ability to work in a demanding, but at the same time independent and flexible environment
• Sincere interest in and knowledge about development matters
• Ability to achieve an understanding of ADPP Mozambique’s mission, development approach and project types in Mozambican context related to partners approachCommitment to the objectives and the goals of the ADPP Mozambique
