FHI360 is recruiting a Senior Technical Officer, DREAMS, to be based in Maputo and Sofala, Mozambique.
Duties
- Engage, mobilize, network and serve as the primary contact within FHI 360 and with diverse stakeholders including implementing partners and participating GRM ministries, department and agencies
- Lead conceptualization and development of DREAMS work plans, innovations and activities
- Oversee implementation of planed activities and ensure achievement of set targets
- Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder and implementation partner meetings
- Stay up to date and advise FHI360 on the new policies and guidelines related to HIV prevention among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Mozambique
- Contribute to development of terms of reference and oversee technical assistance activities, including the identification and management of technical consultants
- Liaise regularly and proactively with other CHASS and FHI 360 staff conducting similar activities to ensure synergies and efficiency
- Contribute to project documentation and dissemination of project reports to FHI 360, USAID and stakeholders
- Facilitate administrative needs of the project as relevant
Requisites
- University degree in MCH nurse or other health social sciences
- Post graduate experience in public health will be an added advantage
- Experience in developing and implementing HIV prevention or social and behaviour change programs among adolescents
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing community-based HIV/AIDS programmes in Mozambique
- Experience in developing and implementing sexual reproductive health programs targeting adolescent girls, young women or victims of gender-based violence
- Proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with government personnel, NGO partners, international organizations, and community groups
- Proven experience in community mobilization and local capacity building
- Knowledge of the political, social, economic, and cultural context of Sofala Province
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing) complex issues in a concise, compelling, and easily understandable manner
- Ability to speak and write English will be an added advantage
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
