Aldelia is recruiting a SHE Supervisor – Wellsite (m/f), to be based in Inhambane, Mozambique.
Duties
- Steward a healthy safety culture that demonstrates consistent operational excellence and conduct regular culture surveys
- Deliver effective support, advice, and resources to Wellsite teams and Functional groups
- Act as the Contract SHE Supervisor challenging and empowering service providers to independently deliver Operational Excellence and continual improvement
- Implement processes and systems that identify SHE risks, including Process Safety/Well Control, and verify mitigation to ALARP
- Own, enable implementation, and continually improve/streamline SHE elements of the Well Delivery Management System
- Oversee and assure the Service Providers safe and effective delivery of its Wellsite Control of Work systems
- Assures that personnel are knowledgeable of Emergency Response plans and that plans are regularly tested
- Act as SHE Assurance Lead delivering the Wellsite SHE Assurance Plan to drive continual performance improvement
- Confirm that incidents are reported and thoroughly investigated according to procedures and facilitate investigations as RCA expert
- Create a learning organization sharing lessons from within and without Sasol (e.g., IOGP, OGUK, IADC, Drilling Contractor)
- Monitor changes in legislation and industry good practices owning the Wellsite aspects of the MERIC wide compliance register and facilitating implementation of compliance controls
- Verify that training and competency requirements are met for all Wellsite personnel
- Support Mozambican personnel in their achievement of their personal development plans and in turn Sasol’s nationalization targets
- Liaise regularly with leadership and the workforce to solicit SHE team performance delivery feedback
- Own the Wellsite aspects of the MERIC wide Corrective Action Register and facilitate tracking till closure of all actions (e.g., Incidents, Audits, NCRs)
- Collate and deliver the Wellsite aspects of the MERIC wide SHE Performance reports creating early awareness of SHE issues and improvement plans
Requisites
- Minimum 7 years of oil and gas SHE experience within a drilling contractor or upstream operator in remote locations
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Well Control Certificate
- Bachelors or more advanced degree in engineering, science or EHS discipline highly valued
