Social Investment Senior Advisor

Duties

• The main activities of the function include to provide analytical and strategic services that contribute to a more sustainable impact investment strategy and implementation in the Project region, transitioning beyond the company’s social investment origins and humanitarian aid nature adopted due to force majeure
• Conduct a comprehensive review of the current social and impact investment portfolio; map current and potential projects, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks, and resource allocation needs; differentiate between social investment and impact investment projects, with the former aligning better under the Foundation’s scope; assess the need to align investments with legal regulations and requisites, where applicable (e.g. local content, PPP, etc.)
• For current projects, assess the effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization, impact amplification, financial return, and alignment with local and global socio-economic and sustainability goals, recommend improvements or pivots where necessary
• Identify additional potential projects for the portfolio in the Project location; contribute to the development of the project social investment strategy and direction, enhancing its role (and of the partners) in driving impactful social investment projects that contribute significantly to the growing well-being of the population in the region

Requisites

• Higher Education in Company Management or in another relevant area for the job
• Specialization in Project Management will be an advantage
• Possess more than 10 years of management experience in similar projects
• Be fluent in English and Portuguese (both spoken and written)
• Be ready to be working from the client's office with flexible time allocation
• Ability to make a detailed portfolio analysis, including recommendations for future impact investment direction
• Have a strategic mind and good analysis skills
• Good organization and time management skills
• Availability to travel to the provinces
• Residence in the location of the job will be an advantage
