FHI360 is recruiting a Specialist, Social and Behavior Change Communication - SBCC, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Assist in preparation of SBCC component of the project’s work plans
- Provide assistance in designing and implementing effective SBCC strategies and campaigns, including use of new media
- Design and provide support to the implementation and monitoring of mhealth communication activities and interventions as part of larger SBCC strategies
- Identify, develop, pilot, and document new approaches and methodologies for inclusion in program strategies
- Develop training and other capacity building strategies around inclusion and use of new media
- Manage technical vendors to support activities utilizing new media
Requisites
- Masters degree or PhD preferred, or its international equivalent in International Communication, Social and Behavior Change Communication; Social Marketing; Public Health, Health Communication; Health Promotion; or Social Sciences
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in designing and implementing new media/mhealth activities
- Experience and knowledge of HIV, family planning, gender, malaria, and other health programs preferred
- Experience working in a USAID or other donor-funded project. A solid understanding and appreciation of USAID and USAID project processes, procedures, rules and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with initiative to manage high volume work flow
- Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
