SOUTH32 is recruiting a Superintendent Automation & Technical Support, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for safe and effective operation and maintenance of the plant Automation function, and requires you to lead a diverse team. You will be accountable and responsible for your own budget as well as input into the department budget
- Manage material risks and liaise with the production functions. You will also collaborate with the supply function to engage contractors, suppliers and vendors and ensure safe provision of maintenance services
- The purpose of this role is to ensure all Maintenance and Operations activities within the Automation area are executed safely by competent automation personnel in accordance with work schedules, relevant standards and work instructions
Requistes
- Ideally you will have a B Degree (Engineering, Electrical) or equivalent tertiary qualifications with 6 years industrial Automation experience
- Experience in operating and maintaining Industrial Automation systems (Industrial networks, Process control, SCADA, Instrumentation, PLC systems, Software management, IT systems Servers, Database etc.)
- General electrical systems is essential as is leadership experience, previous experience in Rockwell Automation, Wonderware Intouch systems will be advantageous
