DAI is preparing for an anticipated programme that will contribute towards sustainable improvements in the livelihoods of the rural poor through increased financial inclusion. Working with public and private stakeholders, the programme will facilitate improvements in the financial service market system; supporting macro, meso, and micro-level improvements that lead to a wider range of financial services and delivery mechanisms benefitting poor households and micro, small and medium enterprises in Mozambique.
Duties
- Deliver programme effectively and efficiently, working with public and private sector actors in Mozambique and a variety of donor organizations
- Develop detailed programme strategy, business plan and budget
- Oversee programme activities and provide quality control of deliverables
- Manage team of long- and short-term experts
- Deliver key programme reports and workplans
- Coordinate effectively with key stakeholders and partners to ensure programme participation
- Ensure value for money and delivery of results
Requisites
- Advanced degree in finance, business management or other relevant field
- At least 15 years of experience working in private sector development, at least five of which focusing on access to finance issues (desirable)
- Extensive experience working in Mozambique or the region
- Proven track-record of delivering successful donor-funded programmes
- Experience leading projects with multiple donor input
- Strong team leadership, communication and management experience
- Significant networking and relationship management skills
- Understand key approaches to M&E, including use of logical frameworks
- Fluency in Portuguese, desirable
