NTU is recruiting a Team Leader / Project Coordinator to support the development of the programme PRODEPEMES-ESTRADA for Small and Medium Enterprises in road maintenance.
Overall objectives of the program
- To contribute to job creation and promotion
- To contribute to increased agriculture and fisheries production through the provision of improvements to the road network
Specific objectives of the program
- Improve the quality of road maintenance works performed by existing SMEs
- Increase market access to the best performing SMEs
Implementation of the program
- Training program for SME contractors and consultants
- Supporting actions to the SMEs
Requisites
- Degree in civil Engineering or equivalent
- A proven solid technical background in the construction sector
- Strong ability to write and edit documents in English
- Ability to communicate in Portuguese will be an advantage
- At least 10 years professional experience in the areas of project management and/or advisory services in the construction industry
- Proven experience in coordinating Technical Assistance and/or capacity building programmes
- Ability to work in English and Portuguese
- Minimum experience of at least 5 years in the Road sector
- Minimum experience of at least 3 years in positions integrated in the private sector as a contractor
- Relevant & recent professional experience in the development cooperation environment (a minimum two relevant positions of more than 6 months duration in a full time position) will be an advantage
- Recent experience in EU funded road maintenance projects will also be an advantage
