Telecommunication and Network Specialist

Duties

• Checks continuously the availability of the internet and intranet connections for all the sites managed by the Department
• Supports his/her direct superior in controlling that the service provided by the providers is acceptable and that the level of quality is in line with Company requirements
• Supervises maintenance of telecommunications equipment
• Deals with network equipment and cables to ensure their quality and operability
• Controls network activities
• Takes care of network maintenance, substituting or upgrading equipment
• Cooperates with the IT team to resolve problems related to Network

Requisites

• Degree in IT, Telecommunications or similar
• More than 3 years of previous experience in the same or similar role
• CCNA (Routing and Switching) Cisco certifications mandatory
• Any other CISCO certification is a plus
• Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager is a plus
• Knowledge of LAN and WAN, routing protocol, security rules, structured cabling, network equipment (routers and switches), bandwidth control, verification of the correct implementation of QoS, Firewall, VPN, etc.
• Fluent Portuguese and English, spoken and written
