Tractor Drivers

Florestas de Niassa is recruiting a Tractor Drivers, to be based in Lichinga and Niassa, Mozambique.

Duties

• Undertake any of the plantation forestry activity duties where the tractor is required
• Ensure that all work and maintenance programs on the tractor and related equipment is carried out on time and to company standards.
• Ensure that production targets are met in terms of quality and quantity
• Prepares land prior to planting, ploughing and weed control
• Maintains and trouble-shoots equipment problems
• Fire Fighting and the use of specialised tools such as pumps, nozzles, two way radios etc

Requisites

• Unendorsed current drivers licence – Minimum of Category B
• At least 5 years hands on experience as a tractor driver on a farm or in forestry
• Mechanical knowledge of tractors, boom sprayers, mowers, mulchers etc
