Aldelia is recruiting a Transit Logistics Supervisor (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Responsible for end-to-end transit operational execution by offering the best possible Supply Chain
solution that suits our customer’s requirements
- Understand Transporter (both road & rail) to update Supply chain & SOP on a constant basis to
provide best cost-efficient solution to customers
- Plan mode of transport efficiently either by road or rail which eliminates any delays at the Terminal
or in transit
- Work together with Despachante by ensuring all relevant documentation is provided within time &
that the Customs System (McNET) is correctly updated to perform the transit clearance
- A full understanding & knowledge of McNET, Mozambican transit customs laws
- Tracking and Tracing shipments with suppliers and agents and arrange the movement of goods and
flow of paperwork to ensure Customs clearances are obtained quickly and deliveries are made in
good time
- Knowledge of Ocean Freight & commercial market situation to Submit RFQ’s from carriers & to
reserve necessary space on vessel with the assistance of suppliers
- Manage bookings (directly/indirectly) & consolidate loads with a common destination to reduce
costs to individual shippers by maximizing efficiency i.e. timelines, transfers, or regulations affecting
shipments
- Tracking shipments with suppliers and agents and arrange the movement of goods and flow of
paperwork to ensure Customs clearances are obtained quickly and deliveries are made in good time
- Liaise regular with Shippers/Consignees/Suppliers/Port Authorities/Customs Authorities, ensuring
all processes are updated & in order
- Manage deadlines and sometimes difficult situations
Requisites
- Experience 3 6 years of logistics clearing/forwarding experience
- Language Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Skills required Incoterm's knowledge Excel, word and power point
- Knowledge or experience in road, rail ocean movements Experience with McNET system
- Knowledge of Transit bond acquittals is a must
- The ability to raise and complete shipment documentation
- Knowledge of Full Transit clearance procedures at both entry/exit points with the relevant Port & Customs authorities
