Total is recruiting a Travel Manager (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Supervise, control, and coordinate the planning of travel accommodations, the booking of commercial and TEPMA1 charter flights, hotels, car rentals
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors of direct travel, hotels, airlines, and car rentals
- Manage a team of travel coordinators in Maputo, Pemba and Afungi
- Manage the external travel services provider (travel agencies)
- Develop, optimize, and update travel procedures in accordance with Total travel policies
- Interface and coordinate with logistics for rotary wing bookings for offshore activities
- Supervise and ensure processing all travel-related documentation is done on a timely manner with the highest level of professionalism
- Assisting with any travel-related issues that may arise
- Researching travel deals and evaluating prices and services based on requirements for travel
- Arranging travel accommodations for business visitors
- Improve, update, and adapt local policies with regards to corporate travel policies
- Analyze and prepare reports on travel spend, review, and validate invoices for payment
- Prepare travel budget and financial reports
- Support Security in the maintenance of the POB
- Review invoices and approve payments in accordance with procedures
- Superuser for INEX application (responsible for application, operations, users’ trainings and methods & quality aspects)
Requisites
- For this position the candidate will have a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in the travel industry /travel management in large-scale projects. Specific experience and expertise in the following is required:
- A Bachelor's degree or certification in Tourism, Travel, or Hospitality is required for corporate Travel Managers
- Prior experience as a corporate travel manager with minimum of two years' supervisory experience may be preferred
- Excellent knowledge of domestic and international travel regulations and customs
- Knowledge of travel management processes
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors of direct travel (existing relationships may be advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good computer skills with knowledge of MS Office, and travel booking software’s
- Excellent communication, people, and negotiation skills
- Analytical attitude with an organized approach
- Excellent time management and multitasking skill
- Ability to work under pressure and stay calm
