Accountant trainee (m/f)

Duties

• Records entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
• Prepares payments and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
• Reviews supporting documents to ensure accuracy, relevance and validity of documents before recording entries
• Prepares Petty Cash Reconciliations (Head Office, Matola, Beira, Nacala)
• Preparation of weekly payments and issuance of checks after approval
• Posting the cash Book in General Ledger
• Monitoring the billing/payment map to avoid duplicate payments
• In charge in process of assets identification and Tags
• Participate in process of assets counting
• Maintains, and coordinate the implementation o accounting and control procedures
• Records and review revenue, expense, invoices, and other accounting documents
• Resolves accounting discrepancies
• Interacts with External Auditors in completing audits
• Other duties as assigned

Requisites

• Degree in Accounting or related area
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including IFRS
• Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications (PRIMAVEIRA)
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare basic financial reports, statements and projections
