TechnoServe is recruiting an Admin and Logistics Coordinator, to be based in Chimoio, Mozambique.
Description
- The Embassy of the Netherlands, Maputo (EKN) through its Strengthening Food Systems and FNS in Beira Corridor program, Mangwana has given funding to TechnoServe Mozambique for a regional food and nutrition security program for the period of 2023-2027. Agriculture is a critical pillar of the Mozambican economy, employing over 80% of the rural population and contributing to 25% of the national GDP. Small and medium farms account for 95% of agricultural production. Nonetheless, productivity is low for the majority of food crops. The project will complement other investments and coordinate with other programs in this sector to address productivity barriers in the Beira Corridor to improve FNS by increasing productivity, incomes, and jobs

- Increased mobilization of capital for a competitive local agricultural industry

- The Program Admin & Logistics Coordinator will report to the Admin and Finance Manager, and will assist in the coordination and execution of support activities for the project teams. The Project Admin & Logistics. Coordinator is expected to be self-sufficient and proactive, but will be supported by TechnoServe's local team in Mozambique. The Admin & Logistics Coordinator will be based in Chimoio, Manica
Duties
- Receiving, forwarding and monitoring processes sent to the finance department for payment, and updating senders on the status of processes
- Prepare the program stationary requisitions, review quotes, and follow-up on orders
- Preparation of payment requisitions and supporting documents
- Logistical support for the programme's field team, printing materials for mobilization, recruitment, training (manuals) and graduations (certificates), coordinating transport for the field team, and sending credit (megabytes) to the beneficiaries of the training courses
- Work with the project team to identify alternatives for cost reduction and efficient use of the project's financial and material resources
- Support in all program administrative task, drafting and forwarding internal and external letters
- Support on the travel logistics for the program team, accommodations etc.
- Organize meeting for the program team, including the training logistics
Requisites
- At least a degree in administration, business management, economics, or 2 year's experience in administrative field and technical work (in a similar position), and in implementing business development, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion projects, with a particular focus on women and young people located in urban and rural areas
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing gender equality
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Experience in building strong relationships with partners
- Ability to generate innovative solutions
- Basic English language, fluency in local languages would be an advantage
- Experience in the socio-economic context of the northern region would be an advantage
