Aviation Supervisor (m/f)

Duties

• Operate control in order to ensure personnel authorized to travel are the only ones booked: Review records of all flights including details of; Sectors flown; Numbers of passengers and/or weight of freight by sector; Flying hours; Aircraft availability (delays and the causes); Operational occurrences, incidents and accidents
• Confirm the numbers of Senior Executives or key personnel carried on a single flight fall within the Company’s guidelines (if applicable)
• Set up a periodical (e.g. monthly) meeting with the operator to discuss any operational or interface problem
• Monitor to ensure prevailing weather conditions in the area of operations are taken in consideration when planning flights and the final air transport customer is aware that notwithstanding the importance of completing the flight this cannot prevail against
• Weather conditions and other factors, which are of absolute competence to the commander for accepting the plan and executing the flight
• Monitor the utilization of flight crew to ensure that only those pilots currently accepted are employed and assigned to flights on behalf of the Company; the monitoring also should include compliance with applicable crew/duty time limitations
• Track the status of navigation aids, weather observation equipment, fuel systems, rescue and firefighting, and other supplied support equipment
• Where airfield/airstrip(s) or heliports/helideck(s) are included within the scope of the air service projects, Aviation Operations Supervisor duties should include the supervision and control of: Air-ground communication; Fire/rescue support; Provision of fuel; Airfield/airstrip/heliport management/preparation; Passenger check in/out; Raising manifests/weighing passengers and freight; Control of security; Organization of Customs/immigration as required

Requisites

• Higher Education ideally as Professional Pilot or Aviation Maintenance Technician
• Minimum post school on the job experience as foreseen by Mozambican Legislation (IACM) and international standards
• Preferred previous experience in the Oil & Gas sector
