Behaviour Change Officer – (Nutrition) (m/f)

Duties

• Develops behaviour change activities for improved diet diversity and childcare practices under the supervision of project manager
• Organizes and facilitates cooking demonstrations, sensitization sessions and other behaviour change activities as planned
• Provides weekly short narrative reports to project manager on the behavioural change activities, visible nutritional behaviours of communities
• Develops a nutrition and health referral pathway under the supervision of the project manager
• Refers suspected undernutrition cases to available health services and shares referral records with project manager
• Participates and conducts monitoring activities as per the request of the project manager
• Provides weekly narrative reports to project manager
• Contributes in project reports as per the request of the project manager
• Coordinates with community representatives, beneficiaries on cooking demonstrations and community sensitization sessions and other behavioural change activities
• Fully complies with security plans and protocols and code of conduct

Requisites

• Experience in in nutrition and health promotion programs is a must
• Experience in community mobilization, training facilitation is a must
• Fluency in Portuguese is a must
• Degree in health and/or nutrition is desired
• Previous experience with humanitarian or development programs are desired
• Knowledge of Nhamatanda District and particularly Bebedo and Nhampoca localities desired
• Good command of Sena and Ndau is desired
• Good command of English is desired
• Good command of Microsoft Excel, Word is desired
• Ownership of motorbike driver license is desired
