Aldelia is recruiting a Cathodic Protection Specialist (m/f), to be based in Temane, Mozambique.
Duties
- Manage corrosion control systems on pipeline and other plant assets

- Maintain Cathodic Protection (CP) systems to ensure all facilities are protected and are compliant with legal requirements
- Coordinate annual CP surveys
- Reviews annual CP reports and consultant recommendations
- Compile periodic reports of corrosion status of systems, buildings and equipment using CP survey data & data recording and filling
- Oversee & monitor CP system performance and implement corrective actions to avoid that performance being compromised
- Recommend improvements required to maintain compliance and protection of facilities
- Recommend improvements required to maintain compliance and protection of facilities
- Oversee troubleshooting of CP systems and the installation of test stations as required
- Prepare scope for CP performance monitoring and repair work where required
- Prepare CP project scope and cost estimates
- Schedules and select equipment and material for sustaining or improvement projects
- Direct and support contractors to accomplish project goals where applicable
- Provide training of operations and field staff especially
- Providing recommendations to existing corrosion management control strategies where appropriate
- Working with Management to ensure all work completed adheres to safety, corrosion prevention and regulatory standards
Requisites
- University Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical
- Minimum 5 years in the fields dealing with Transformer Rectifier Units compliance
- Strong knowledge of database management, atmospheric corrosion surveys, and document management
- NACE CP-2 certification
- NACE CP3 Certification plus OSHA classes is an advantage
