Community Development Superintendent

Twigg Exploration & Mining is recruiting a Community Development Superintendent, to be based in Balama, Mozambique.

Duties

• Assessment to build and support a community development program
• Planning and implement development programs with an opportunity to become sustainable
• Build and maintaining good relationships between all stakeholders, such as government, community members and company representatives
• Program management for supporting and implementing the plans developed with the management tools
• Monitoring & evaluation for measuring progress toward program goals to ascertain that specified social benefits are being achieved
• Build long-term partnerships with local communities to increase their participation as employees and suppliers
• Support self-empowered regional and community development such as through education, training, healthcare, and business enterprise

Requisites

• Degree in social sciences, business administration/economics or related area
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in community development practice with a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry
• Management and/or coordination experience with stakeholder engagement
• Demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge of policies, guidelines and practices promoted by lending institutions, including the IFC Performance Standards
• Good communication skills in English will be advantage
