PRI is hiring a Community Liason Manager for Maputo, in Mozambique.
Duties
- Raise general awareness of the positive impact the oil and gas business has in the Commonwealth
- Implement approved media plans to address specific issues
- In collaboration with the Drilling and Land departments, develop strategies and advise on local area issues
- Work with the Drilling teams to identify impacts and risks requiring public communication/monitoring
- Represent on local area committees, community meetings and industry groups
- Assist with PGA, environment, social, and local affairs public engagement programs
- Develop and maintain relationships with the community and other team members
- Implement aspects of the social investment program and Social Impact Management Plan (SIMP) projects as required
- Collaborate with the Land team to ensure all necessary and proper precautions are taken to minimize the impact of construction on the community property
- Implement the companies Corporate Code of Conduct at work sites and within impacted communities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of current and upcoming community issues which could potentially impact the operations
- Assist the President and the management team in engaging with the community and collating the community\'s views and input
- Recommend new policies or changes in operations to address identified community concerns
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed
Requisites
- Degree in social sciences, public policy, political science environment management or related related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a corporate affairs role in the oil and gas industry
- Communication in Portuguese and English
