Project HOPE is recruiting a Community Mobilization Advisor, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Support the malaria control program in the development of context-specific, culturally-appropriate community mobilization strategies
- Develop toolkits and guidelines for community mobilization in controlling malaria. This will include reviewing existing good practices and lessons learned from other malaria programs worldwide
- Support the implementation of country-level workshops reviewing lessons learned and good practices in boosting access to malaria treatment programs
Requisites
- University degree in health, Social Sciences, or related field; master’s degree (or equivalent)strongly preferred
- Minimum of five years’ experience managing the implementation of community based projects in malaria or similar public health projects
- Experience in community mobilization, strengthening local NGOs/FBOs, etc
- Substantial knowledge and proven experience in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating community mobilization activities and social and behavior change
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese
- Previous experience with USAID a plus
