Construction Manager (m/f)

Duties

• Construction Manager is to be accountable for the planning and delivery of all the construction related deliverables/activities for the PSA Development OBL project scope, in accordance with Sasol’s BD&I process
• Support the PSA Development OBL project managers and project team, ensuring items such as constructability reviews and the development of constructability RFQ requirements are properly conducted
• During the construction phase, evaluate the planning and execution of construction activities with the project managers, proactively minimizing risk, driving safety performance, work quality and productivity
• Propose construction optimizations which could lower the project cost and shorten construction durations (whilst ensuring quality of construction work), thus ensuring and driving the efficiency of constructability
• Support overall project compliance to the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
• Support overall project compliance to legal, regulatory and Sasol requirements
• Management of internal and external stakeholders/supplier relationships and contracts
• Support integrated risk management is effectively done
• Ensure comprehensive change management is done
• Ensure accurate construction management reporting
• Manage all onsite SHERQ requirements
• Integration, management and coordination of construction activities, team members, contractors, suppliers, operations, internal and external stakeholders, and interfaces with other project disciplines (e.g. project controls, subsurface, well delivery, and business)
• Ensure the setting and upholding of sound construction management practices and procedures
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
• Drive and enable high performance within the construction team

Requisites

• Min requirements: B.Eng /BSc Honors Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management)
• Tertiary Construction/Project Management qualification is preferential
