Gain - Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition

GAIN is recruiting a Consultant, to be based in Sofala, Mozambique.

Description
  • The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss based international organization that mobilizes public-private partnerships and provides financial and
technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition. The organization is delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 700 million people in more than 30 countries, half of whom are
    women and children
  • The Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (hereafter just referred to as ‘MIYCN’) Global Program is critical to achieving GAIN’s vision, focusing on scaling-up interventions to improve the nutritional status during the 1000
days from conception through the 2nd year of life, while expanding its scope to target the pre-pregnancy period (adolescent girls)
  • The MIYCN Global Program supports the development of, and sustained access to, affordable nutritious foods, products and services for young children, adolescent girls and pregnant and lactating women, as a regular component of public health interventions in GAIN’s priority countries, with behavior change
interventions for more appropriate child feeding and maternal nutrition practices being an important element of our work

    23 months in Sofala province
