Control Room Operator

Karadeniz Holding is recruiting a Control Room Operator, to be based in Nacala, Mozambique.

Duties

• Uphold and follow all safety standards and requirements
• Plan and issue permit to works
• Accomplishes and signs off on the “standing orders” from Shift Leader
• Review the “change orders” to the operating instructions
• Review the “work requests” for implementation
• To take production values and enter the related system with hourly bases
• To visually inspect/check LV, MV and HV equipment and record condition of transformers
• Controls and coordinates the availability of equipment for maintenance and other activities
• Issues and controls tagging of equipment
• Control and operate all the maneuvers in the switchyard in cooperation with Field Operator
• To adjust the electrical production plant by coordinating Local Utility
• To transfer the system in to liquid fuel/natural gas in emergency situations
• To follow up the water, liquid fuel, chemical and material stocks in general persistently
• To inspect reports from Operators by filling the shift books and daily reports without deficiency
• To make controls of equipment to be commissioned after maintenance and system

Requisites

• Written and spoken fluently English/Portuguese
• Experience as a Control room operator at power plant or substation
• Prior Experience: 1-2 years
• Qualification: Fluency in English and Portuguese
• Good verbal Communication
