Concern Worldwide, a global NGO, is hiring a Country Financial Controller, to work in Quelimane, Zambezia Province.
Duties
- To lead the management of finance in Concern Mozambique and working as a member of the Senior Management Team, to ensure that financial planning, control and systems are in place to support the strategic plans and programme activities
- To ensure the sustainable implementation of proper financial procedures and policies in managing Concern’s financial resources, reporting and training, in Mozambique
Requisites
- Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent
- Experience working in the NGO Sector Minimum 3 yrs experience working overseas as a Country Accountant, Financial Controller or Finance Manager
- Track record of successful counterpart training
- Ability and willingness to travel to provinces and within districts
- Ability to support, monitor and mentor staff and to pass on this competency to line managers
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Delegation, time management and prioritisation skills
- Good interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese, including good writing skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Efficient planner and manager
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
