Design Draftsman

Mozmotion is recruiting a Design Draftsman, to be based in Beira and Sofala, Mozambique.

Duties

• Design and manage projects from concept to prototype manufacturing
• Design responsibilities, 3D modelling, 2D drawing and documentation control
• Create technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations
• To design and Manage projects from concept to prototype manufacturing
• To ensure that for each project the highest standard of technical integrity is applied
• 3D modelling, 2D drawings and documentation control
• Maximize the production processes
• Implement and oversee quality control programs
• Implement training programs
• Manage communication lines with management, suppliers, and client
• Keep abreast of new technology that can be used in the production process
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety programs
• Cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility

Requisites

• Technical Diploma (Mech. Eng.), or National Diploma in Engineering (Mech) or equivalent
• Strength in Materials, Machine design, Maths, Applied Maths, Physical Science and Metallurgy – or the more recent equivalents thereof
• Acquainted with setting up of and compliance to ISO 9001 drawing office requirements – Including drawings standards, procedures, and documentation control
• Availability to travel on regular basis
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum 3 years’ Experience Drawing office in the field of mechanical design
• Being proficient in one or more Solid modelling packages - preferably Pro-Engineer (CREO) – Basic 3D modelling
• Sheet metal and Finite Element Analysis
• Experience in the Railway Industry is of advantage
• Good communicator

• Fluent in English and Portuguese
