The U.S. Mission Mozambique is recruiting a Development Assistance Specialist and Advisor to the Director, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Provide support to the Integrated Health Office and leadership in the areas of design, procurement, communications and human resources
- Work closely with and support the Operations division in the USAID/Mozambique Integrated Health Office (IHO), comprised of 4 individuals: 1 USDH and 3 FSNs
- Help support the re-design and competitive procurement of several components of a comprehensive portfolio of over US$190M per year
- Work closely with USAID’s Executive Office (EXO) to support recruitment and onboarding of new IHO staff
Requisites
- Master Degree in a relevant discipline such as public health, or other field related to international development and/or public health
- Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience working for a U.S. Government agency and/or development organization, at least three of which were spent in a developing country context supporting development programs
- Experience with successfully designing large international health programs and activities, as well as managing international health assistance programs
- Level IV English ability (fluency) is required
- Must possess a high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken English
