DI AFRICA is recruiting an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (m/f), to be based in Pemba (Offshore), Mozambique.
Description
- When on FLNG the Technician will be required to report to E&I QA/QC Supervisor or E&I Lead Technician and be responsible for the maintenance of all the equipment within his control, repairs, ordering of spares and the upkeep of suitable records
- When working on other equipment he shall liaise with, and may be required to take instruction from, the relevant Supervisor
Duties
- Prior to the commencement of the project the technician shall:
- Perform a pre-mobilization check of all relevant tooling and material
- Assist in mobilization as required
- Attend such training courses as necessary for specialist equipment
- Read and understand the manuals and Training manuals, which are directly related to the equipment for which he/she has responsibility
- Throughout the project, the Technician shall:
- Perform installation of cables and tubing on all equipment as per supervisor and lead technician instructions
- Undertake inspections, as required
- Undertake repairs, as required
- Help ordering spares for all equipment within his control
- Give support to other disciplines, as required
- Understands and meets the needs of customers – internal and external as appropriate
Requisites
- Cables pulling and inspections
- IECEX/ATEX inspections
- Tubing installation and inspection
- Electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting
- Actuators and instruments removal and re-instatement
- Maintenance of Electrical and instrumentation equipment
- Ability to work flexibly
- Good technical acumen
- Problem solving ability
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team
- Willing to live away from home in a confined environment for lengthy periods
- Good spoken English
- Good health
- Ability to work under pressure
