PRI is recruiting a Pipeline Engineer/Project Engineer/Project Manager, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Analyzing survey, mapping and materials-testing data with computer modelling software Prepare cost estimates and schedules(EPC) for pipeline projects
- Drawing up blueprints, using computer aided design (cad) package
Judging whether projects are workable by assessing materials, costs and time requirement
- Assessing the environmental impact and risks connected to project
Preparing bids for tenders, and reporting to clients, public agencies and planning bodies
- Managing, directing and monitoring progress during each phase of a projects
- Making sure sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements
- Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects
- Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate
- Working knowledge of gas pipeline construction methods and operations
- Reviews all data sources for a given pipeline, identifies data gaps relative to regulatory requirements and recommends appropriate remediation
- Preferably extrovert personality & able to make effective presentations
- Determination to get things done
- Make things happen and constantly looking for better ways of doing things
- Able to act on initiative, identify opportunities and proactive in putting forward ideas
Requisites
- Pipeline Construction Engineer with strong technical capabilities, excellent communication and experience in pipeline engineering, design, and project management skills
- Applicants should have specialized project management and/or civil engineering experience with facilities in oil & gas pipeline construction projects and the position requires at least 10 years of relevant and progressive experience in pipeline engineering
- A strong technical background is a plus
- Strong communication skills in writing, speaking and listening
- Ability to work in a very project oriented culture
- Strong project execution focus
