Farm Manager Specialized in Macadamia Nuts

PRI is recruiting a Farm Manager Specialized in Macadamia Nuts, to be based in Zambézia, Mozambique.

Duties

• Manage a section of a 300 ha Irrigated Macadamia
• Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameters
• Managing operations including, fertilization, irrigation, spraying, pruning, harvesting and conditioning of nuts
• Developing and ensuring safe and environmentally sound farming practices
• Planning activities and monitoring the quality of yield
• Comply with government regulations concerning farm activities

Requisites

• Degree in agricultural engineering or farm business management
• At least 5 years’ experience in farming macadamias with proven managerial skills.
• Knowledge of food production and business awareness
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
• Good negotiation skills
• Knowledge of management software
• Fluent in English
