US Embassy is recruiting a FCS – Commercial Clerk Unpaid Internship, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- CS Commercial Clerk Intern will assist U.S. Commercial Service staff in helping U.S. companies to do business in Mozambique. S/he will perform a variety of commercial and administrative tasks in support of U.S. Commercial Service programs.
- Assist with trade events (hotel logistics, invitations, presentations)
- Schedule meetings
- Draft marketing materials (email messages, flyers, presentations) in English and Portuguese
- Gather and analyze market research on industry sectors and write reports (English)
- Develop lists of Mozambican companies active in key sector
- Research and document in English some issues affecting imports, such as customs, shipping, standards, and product certifications
- Develop ideas and English language content for a U.S. Commercial Service Mozambique web page
Requisites
- All applicants must address each selection criterion in their DS-174 application and Certificates confirming education detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item in ENGLISH
- If that area is not clearly addressed or there is ambiguity, the application will not be considered further
- Language skills will be tested. Any application received in Portuguese will not be considered. Only English applications will be received and considered
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree program for business or international relations, or related field
- Level 4 Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required (This will be tested)
- Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing Portuguese is required. (This will be tested)
- Experience is not required, but exposure to business and /or international relations is preferred
