Finance and Administrative Manager

CRESIB

The position reports to the Department and the Associate Director of the Barcelona Centre for International Health Research. The Finance and Administrative Manager coordinates and shares information with the Project Manager and Head of Finance of the OIC, and the Mozambique Desk, and is responsible for the areas of Project Management and Finance.

Duties
  • Responsible for the development and monitoring of the Planning, Finance and Budget Center
  • Provide financial information for the meetings of the Board and Board in collaboration with the Mozambique Desk
  • Support the management in the process of downsizing the center
  • Coordination with HR and logistics center
  • Monitoring of compliance with legal obligations, administrative and economic of all "grants"
  • Filing deadlines and monitoring economic reports
  • Monitoring and control circuit charging the expenses of the project considering IP acceptance and eligibility of project expenditure
  • Response to reviews and audits of "grants"
  • Coordination and dialogue with Portfolio Advisors and technicians
  • Development of initiatives to improve the quality of service and attention to researchers (preparation of proposals, "fundraising", budget tracking, regulatory compliance, legal, etc.)
  • Management and organization of the team area "grants" and planning human resource requirements
  • Identification and training of personnel in the area
  • Revitalization of the area under the leadership of the Deputy Director
  • Design, development and maintenance support for the Database "grants" or alternative tools
  • Preparation of technical report AECID
  • Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Credit Monitoring, Closures Accounting, Document Management, Taxation and Audits
  • Implementation of new accounting management tool
  • Design and implementation of administrative and internal control processes, Coordination and accounting with the project team
Requisites
  • Degree in Economics or Business Administration and Management Master in Management or related field valued
  • Professional experience of at least 5 years in equivalent positions Experience in project management and cooperation especially in the field
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese
  • Organizational skills and team coordination
  • Focused on results
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment
