Description

• Feed the Future Mozambique Agricultural Innovations (FTF Inova) is a five-year, $21 million activity that seeks to increase equitable growth and incomes in the agriculture sector in Mozambique by stimulating purposeful business innovation and investment, expanding the number of enterprises that can compete and upgrade their products and services in selected markets, and improving relationships and linkages between those firms and other market participants throughout the agricultural market system
• In addition to providing technical assistance and training, FTF Inova leverages its activity fund to strategically buy down the risk of innovation and co-invest with farmers and in equipment upgrades, climate-smart agriculture, and women’s empowerment

Duties

• The Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance to the Finance Lead in processing payments, monitoring and tracking financial data, and other finance related support
• The Finance Assistant is responsible for providing assistance the Finance and Accounting team. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Monitor and maintain detailed tracker of all payment request received in Finance
• Verify what documentation submitted to Finance for payment is approved and complete for processing
• Responsible for scanning and uploading vouchers into finance and monitoring system on a monthly basis
• Organize and keep an adequate filing system of FERs and its back up documentation
• Help the Finance Lead obtain approval signatures or missing documentation to proceed with payments
• Review documentation payments under the supervision of the Finance Lead
• Any other tasks assigned by the Finance Lead

Requisites

• A college degree in a Finance or Business Administration
• Demonstrated honesty, trustworthiness, initiative and self-motivation in handling all assigned tasks
• Must have English and Portuguese language proficiency, verbal and written
